  • I finally finished Kawa CVVC (yay) and have her ready for release in May, so that means I can work on Minoko CVVC now! Unfortunately that also means that whenever I record his lower pitch (D#3) my voice'll probably be fried for a few days after lol (I can hit the note tho! Just gotta practice before recording so I can actually sustain the note comfortably)
I want to record Kawa Kaeru CVVC, but I changed her base pitch (again) and now I gotta figure out what type of voice to give her so she still sounds like Kawa lol
y'all I made my own reclist for an upgraded cv thing and I'm so happy with how the vb i made with it came out but tell me why I have no motivation to tune this stupid release cover lol

You did a lot of work! Taking a break is not a bad thing during big project like this.
While I'm still technically working on the OTO for a CVVC jp voicebank, I'm thinking of making a CVVC eng voicebank. Thoughts? I've tried looking into VCCV and ARPAsing but both seemed to complicated for my tiny brain to understand lol

    - adding onto this; the vb's are for the same character (new guy that isn't on here yet) and I'd probably do a dual release of both his eng and jp voicebanks

CVVC japanese is very easy to extend and customize, compared to VCV. You can copy the same pattern in the reclist to add extra consonants. This actually helps a lot with giving some English capabilities without too much extra work.

But if you prefer to do an entirely separate voicebank then I would suggest ARPAsing or an X-SAMPA based reclist like the ones written by Delta. These have the best phonemizer support in OpenUtau right now.
why is it so hard to keep a pitch when recording vcv? Is this just a me thing? Anyways, hi I'm back from the abyss again

I recommend using guidebgm to maintain timing and pitch.
as strong as the urge is to make a vcv vb for minoko in time for his anniversary is, I can't use oremo on this laptop... so I guess we'll have to wait until next year :/
procrastination on fixing my children has led to ideas of more children, with even more complicated vb's. For some reason I have more of an urge to make the complicated ones because apparently I can't focus long enough to finish a vcv oto-
