nah, .zip is the most widely accepted standard. Windows can handle .zip natively, but not 7z. Anyone who still uses .rar is an idiot, however.
ZIP hardly compresses files, though. If your voicebank has a ton of samples and you compress it as ZIP it can take a really long time for people to download, and if your internet is bad, it can also take a while for you to upload it. 7Z also preserves filenames regardless of locale, while ZIP does not do that.
The built-in unzipping program is also pretty shitty. Most of the time, if you have EXEs in a ZIP and you extract them with Windows' built-in archiving program, you have to unblock each EXE and DLL individually for it to work right.
