How to properly use Mine Laru

Most people when they think of realistic, high quality utau think of 6-8 pitch vcv voicebanks with decent mic quality, maybe with some multiexpression (weak and strong in the voicebank, usually either matching the pitches provided in the main voicebank or monopitch). Think Namine Ritsu, Yamine Renri, or Gahata Meiji. If we had, say, a kire voicebank with 6 pitches with them also rerecorded in a multiexpression strong and weak style, that would bring us to 18 pitches if we count each expression as a separate pitch bank.
At the time of writing, Mine Laru has 114 total pitches if used correctly. VCV.
You may ask: how in the world is that possible? Well... We'll get to that.

Part 1: Basics
The first part with any utau is to download the voicebank itself. You can find links to Mine Laru's vocals on either of the utau wikis, both edited by yours truly. Now, you may be asking 'Sunny! None of these voicebanks have 114 pitches!' In which case, I would say 'Shush! I am getting to that!'
Now, the choice of voicebank may seem hard at first, but don't worry; here are the best voicebanks for your purposes!
Soft vocals: Float
Powerful vocals: Cursive3 for pure power, rere14 if you like your Laru to sound normal
Songs that don't go above c4: Parse2
English: Ago
Flaunting the fact you have money: Urr
General purpose: Float

Now that you have the voicebank, you will want to download the latest version of f2resamp from this site: https://utau2008.xrea.jp/2020/ as it is generally the best resampler for almost all of his voicebanks. If f2resamp doesn't work well for you, tips is also a good option. Also, get wavtool4vcv if you haven't.

Once you have that set up, you're good to go! The next stuff is all more advanced stuff to reach peak showoff status.

Part 2: Resampler Over Writer
Resampler Over Writer is a programed developed by the creator of Mine Laru to use all of his voicebanks together in one track, kind of like evec or cross synthesis from vocaloid or Vocal Modes from SynthV.
The method to using this is rather complicated, and so here is a seperate tutorial for how to use it:
In simple terms, using this is how you get the coveted 114 pitches I mentioned earlier and how you convert him into an extreme multiexpression voicebank using @ flags!

Part 3: Off sounding notes
While you're using Mine Laru, you may notice some notes kind of sound like they're 'scraping' if the pitchbends are extreme, especially present if using a higher pitch voicebank while transitioning from a lower note to a higher one. If you're able to, try changing the base pitch of the offending note to being the pitch of the lower note. If the high note is a longer one, try changing it to the pitch directly below c4. This can be done by looking at the voicebanks prefix map in the 'edit prefix map' menu and then adding the pitch notation to the note (example: you wanna change a [a あ] to being sung using the a#3 base pitch, so you change it to [a#3a あ].

Once you've done all that, you should be using a very high quality and realistic shark!
