How to UST - A Series of UST Tutorials

Hey UTAforum! I actually started these tutorials!
As I say in the video and description, this will be in three parts and I'll put them all in this thread when they're made. Hope these help everyone, new and experience, learn more about USTs and how to edit and even make them.
It might be better to watch them on YT to ensure the annotations are active.

Part One - The Basics

[UTAU Tutorial] How to UST - The Basics [Part One]

The Description:
**Have annotations on for corrections and notes I made. Also, sorry for how sniffily I am, I have a slight cold I think.**

So this is part one of a three part "How to UST" tutorial series I'm going to do. This part discusses more common knowledge and explains everything in the UTAU interface that directly related so USTs and UTAUs singing them. The next parts should deal with how to make USTs on your own and how to find harmonies, respectively.

Here's the afforemented Resampler Directory: http://utaforum.net/index.php?topic=550.0

I'll link to the next parts when they're made. Gotta resolve the recording computer sound issue because mine doesn't have that option of recording system audio. ;;

This video should be great for people who have just gotten into UTAU. Feel free to reccommend people here if they're confused/new. Also, it will be assumed you understand all of this in later parts.

(On a random note, I can't make tutorials that aren't around 20 minutes apparently. DX
And I was playing with audio settings in Camtasia, hopefully it sounds good...)

If you have ANY questions, feel free to ask! **If an "EmptyBlankAccount" responds, that's me logged accidentally into my old account because I still use that email.** I'm not the clearest person, and I tend to skip/fumble over knowledge I assume everyone knows. But do realize this is NOT an oto tutorial, how to make UTAUs tutorial, etc. Go find other videos for that.

Hope you enjoyed it!

Part Two - Making Your UST

[UTAU Tutorial] How to UST - Making Your UST[Part Two]

The Description:
**I will probably make a part 2.5 - one dealing with quickly showing specific pitchbends, what they sound like, and what their uses are. I have a feeling my crazy pitchbending style may encourage bad habits in others - again, there is such a thing as too much.**

my mouse disappears a few times why...whatever

This is part two of a three part "How to UST" tutorial series I'm working on. This part discusses anything about the program I left out in the second part and goes over what you need to start a UST then shows me working on a UST for a bit. The next parts should deal with specific pitchbend curves that I didn't really go over then finally how to detect and figure out harmonies.

Here's the afforemented Cdra's Big UTAU Guide: http://utaforum.net/thread-cdra-s-big-guide-to-using-utau

SOMETHING I DIDN'T MENTION YET USED:
UTAU has some shortcuts.
Hold Shift - Changes note lengths without leaving rests everywhere
Shift+Ctrl - When you shorten a note it will instead copy the note into what would normally become a rest
Ctrl - Adds whatever you're taking off to the following note
I very frequently use Shift, sorry for not mentioning it even though it was on my outline.

Part Part Two ½ - Specific Pitchbends

[UTAU Tutorial] How to UST - How to UST - Specific Pitchbends [Part Two ½]

The Description:
This is part two and a half of a three part "How to UST" tutorial series I'm working on. This part discusses specific pitchbend curves, what they sound like, and some of their uses, because I felt that Part Two didn't do a very good job in that department. The final part of the series will deal with finding harmonies.

This is just a brief thing, because my examples leaned towards excessive pitchbending in Part Two - please don't do excessive pitchbending on songs that don't need it, it sounds bad. But I hope that you learned various pitchbend curves and that you'll be open to experimenting with them~

Part Two ½ - Specific Pitchbends: here
