    Yeahhh....Nooo,,,,,

I haven't been around long, but I kinda have no intention in sticking around. After seeing how everyone acts and the drama...I just have a sour taste in my mouth. the admin with the phallic name and the fruity tutor aren't making crap any better. Let's see...I'm gonna kinda drop utau, so I'll...

Advice on making an English UTAU?

It's recorded much the same way. You get a list of consonant and vowel combinations. We don't have word recording because it's somewhat inefficient. if you are going to only try/test english, then use neko english. Once you understand the program, then you should record cdra-style/strung cvvc...

Fluid Vocal Synthesis System: UTAU .NET front-end

Utau actually already has midi output, you can actually set it to play an instrument of your choice (including midi oohs and ahhs) Be awesome to see that at some point.

Advice on making an English UTAU?

Thoae were recorded by Japanese users, we are talking about how it's unsuitable for native English speakers. (And tbh, how awesome those banks actually are is debatable...especially Teto's english...) Native english speakers shouldn't use use it foe anything more that testing, I wouldn't take...

Advice on making an English UTAU?

One thing would be consonant clusters, which small lists lack and you need to do more editing for it to work. As a general rule of thumb: the smaller the list, the more editing that is required on a ust to make it sound good. I would recommend against a lite list for any serious usage. Along...

Advice on making an English UTAU?

I would like to add in that Chezzie's reclist is supposed to come with a base, which makes configuration much easier. Delta is not intendes for english speakers and it varies widely between versions, which causes usability issues because one delta bank works different from another.

    Cadencii Download

There is a VSQx to UST conversion tool, it will work for VSQx files with ASCII characters only (so no hiragana). but it's an option. But it only works with V3 files. You could try that out, perhaps?

    Cadencii Download

Cadencii is beta morelikeunfinishedearlyalpha, you can't expect it to work properly. To open usts, first open them in utau and export to midi. Import them as "standard midi" through cadencii. I honestly cannot understand why people like it. First, it lacks crossfade tools so all the...

    help with a screamo voicebank?

I know what vibrato is, I just didn't understand why you would need it for a screamo VB. Well...videos tutorials range from garbage to crap....um...here is one I looked at before. VIDEO LINK

    help with a screamo voicebank?

(Ironically I just recorded two growl banks today) I don't know what you mean by natural vibrato. You should look up videos on how to do it, recording screamo/growl should be treated the dame way as performing it yourself should be. Try to not push too hard while you do it. If it hurts, stop...

Fluid Vocal Synthesis System: UTAU .NET front-end

I said "volume/dynamics curve (like midi)" and tbh, with a good oto you don't need to do envelope edits for smoothness in utau either.

Fluid Vocal Synthesis System: UTAU .NET front-end

I meant it like this- You still have envelopes, BUT they are hidden and you cannot edit them. because tbh, editing envelopes can end in disaster.

Fluid Vocal Synthesis System: UTAU .NET front-end

You should totally eradicate custom envelopes and only have a volume/dynamics curve (like midi)

Fluid Vocal Synthesis System: UTAU .NET front-end

The problem with presamp-like handling is that it has a tendency to have the VC sample a little too long. This is ofcourse corrected with a presamp.ini file. So, you "could" have a config file with each VC sample and the proper length. Then have a "priority" set so it knows what samples to...
