    I think tuning & mixing skills play important part. Because if you suck at tuning & mixing, even though you use hi-quality Vocaloid the result will not sounds good.

    Making an utau takes a long time

    mine took me months, mainly because my laziness haha. Otoing take most of the time, and I'm very lazy if I have to rerecord. When I create my first Utau, character designing took a whole month. Like Olivia said, It's okay to take your time. It's not something to rush anyway.

    You can't make animation with iMovie.. I use iMovie only for adding subtitle. For mac, there is Motion. You can do anything basically, it has layer, keyframe, and camera, similar to After Effect. It has huge variety of preloaded motion & effect too. If I'm not wrong it's around $45, It's...
