this answer might be vague, but if nobody else's replies here help i would just try taking the original sample you used, amplify it in whatever software of your choice, and put it back into utau. sometimes it makes that thump noise for me if a sample isn't good or loud enough

Hmmm... I'm not sure how to completely process it from scratch, but perhaps you could sample from a text-to-speech engine?
