    Writing a WineCMD-compatibile resampler

wait, does PoL need *development* wine? O_o That's pretty weird, it shouldn't be like that, it should be chill with the stable version as the system version... Are you sure? That kind of dependency would defeat the purpose of having a wine version manager in first place, and that would really...

    Writing a WineCMD-compatibile resampler

No clue, to be honest. I use Arch and it usually has packages almost up-to-date with the development version, when I had to compile from git to test the bugfix I just used a pre-made PKGBUILD that took care of everything, so I don't know. My best advice is to try PlayOnLinux, because you can...

    Writing a WineCMD-compatibile resampler

Oh so you're on debian. I guess they have no maintainers for debian packages at WineHQ, since even the Sid packages that they provide aren't up-to-date. :/ Sadly, debian's policy of keeping old versions for stability doesn't hold up well with wine, they're evolving at an impressive speed lately...

    Writing a WineCMD-compatibile resampler

Uh, which wine version are you using? Because resamplers don't crash anymore since 1.5.16. Rendering was crashing in prior versions due to multi-byte characters not being supported in wine batch execution, a feature that was introduced in 1.5.16, see my bug report here...

    UTAU 4.00!

Um, I still have a problem with Prefixmap... The prefixmap works when it's using aliases, but not when using filenames, as in the typical romaji voicebank with kana aliases scenario. Like, I have a romaji voicebank aliased in kana, for instance I have a.wav, a↓.wav respectively aliased as あ and...

    UTAU 4.00!

I think Ameya tweeted something about fixing the prefix map for 0.4.15 I believe it says "correction of prefixmap not being applied", correct me if I'm wrong.

    UTAU in Ubuntu

It has been a while since I used Ubuntu so I'm not sure, but isn't it there a graphical front end to search the repositories? It's either that the wine repo didn't get added properly, or that the package names have changed and the instructions you're following aren't up-to-date. Searching wine...

    UTAU in Ubuntu

Uhh, I don't think so, but if you use Virtualbox you don't need it either, I think. You can simply download the installlation disc iso and mount it in Virtualbox. You can tell it to load an iso in the virtual CD-ROM drive, the virtual machine will see it as if it were an actual CD. Then go to...

    UTAU in Ubuntu

I don't know about burning iso to flash drive, but when I had Ubuntu on this laptop, I installed Arch on an external USB hard drive from Ubuntu. Some time later I used that installation to wipe Ubuntu and install Arch on the actual laptop. So I had no physical install medium at all, I used only...

    UTAU in Ubuntu

Oh ^^; I was wondering about it because PlayOnLinux is actually an excellent wine versions and prefixes manager. It can use the system native wine version (which I guess gets installed as a dependency), but allows you to download different wine versions through its interface and assign them to...

    UTAU in Ubuntu

Oh, amazing! Will update the link. I was wondering one thing though, why are you installing wine by installing playonlinux and not directly with the wine package? Just curious. ^^

    UTAU in Ubuntu

I linked your tutorial in my own :) BTW, as an information, wav file rendering issue was fixed in wine 1.5.16 with the introduction of multi byte characters in batch processing. However, 0.2.76 is still not usable even though it now renders, because the tempo of the result is usually wrong. The...

    UTAU.me Support & Feedback

I've noticed there's some problem with the download buttons as well. The download button was showing alright on my VB, then I added a second voicebank with no DL link and now the Download button does not show on the first one. The second one has no link (yet) so it's ok, but the first still has...

    UTAU.me Support & Feedback

Wonderful, it's working :sing: I've also seen it is now hiding all the other unrelated UTAU profiles from the dash, which is also a good thing. ^^b Good job.

    UTAU.me Support & Feedback

Uh. Actually... no, it was not the posts section? Also the Posts section contains, well, posts, not my UTAU profile which I was looking at and is not pending by the way, it was already published and I wanted to edit it. See screenshot: The sceenshot program cut out my mouse cursor but it was...

    UTAU.me Support & Feedback

    Hi, just received the mail about the update and it's nice to see that filtering is finally working! :D Anyway I have a problem, I wanted to update my UTAU's profile, but I get no edit option in the dashboard, there's just a 'view' option in there. ^^;

    Non-human, inanimate, or alien UTAUs

My UTAU Josephine Cobra (in my avatar) is... well... an undefined non-human. I haven't given her a canon race and is up to the user. Personal headcanons include goddess of snakes, ancestral demon, witch that lost her human form abusing her magic, embodiment of a nature spirit, and alien. XD; But...

How can I fix the frequency for the voice samples? D:

It looks like your samples have a low frequency background noise that is disturbing the pitch detection of UTAU. Try using Audacity noise removal on your samples, I tried on your da sample and it works.

    Italian Voice Bank Help

Um, pretty much all extended Japanese bank (the kind that includes things like kwa gwa vya and so on), but you need to have a closed-vowel and an open-vowel version of each syllable with "e" and "o" The fact that all syllables with "e" and "o" are doubled is pretty much the biggest hassle with...

    Italian Voice Bank Help

Good ^^ By the way, while I was doing something totally unrelated 10 minutes ago, I thought another reason of why going with phonetic romaji-like convention is better XD; I'll just tell here for the sake of completeness. It's the S/Z problem. You know Italian has 2 sounds associated with S...
