Alright,that seems to have fixed the first issue! Usts still load empty though, don't know what to do about that.

Thank you for the help! I was wondering, do I have to check the box that says "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support" as well? I believe I already had the system locale set to japanese beforehand.
