Calypso

[CHAOSinDaHaUs]

Okay this is the first poem i have ever posted on here Please don't be to harsh with the comments!

The sea foam dissolves,
Ocean waves give haunting dreams
Memories are my only company
On my island of unending solitude

I remember when there was a time that I knew happiness
When my life was lived with him by my side
I remember it like it was yesterday when that spot in my heart was filled
Life when he was here was filled with light and wonder

Why did he have to go....?

As time goes steadily on day by day
I wish upon a star, with a futile wish
The old days return and take me back to the time,
When Odysseus was mine

Confined within these aching feelings
I have nowhere to go to forget him
On this sandy shore I look out with fuzzy eyes
The Gods' cruelty never ceases in my punishment

Doomed to isolation on my island of Calypso,
I realized the years moving along erased his memory
The fates snipped the thread long ago
All the hope I had died along with that man

As time goes steadily on day by day

The old days come again and all I see is him, back in the time
When Odysseus was mine

OMG !!

As being both a mythology fantard and someone who loves poems, I can tell you I enjoyed it ! *w*

I was really having all the pcitures in my mind, and felt everything ! Plus, you describe with an incredible precision how Calypso feels about her short story with Odysseus and all the pain she has when he leaves her ♥

Thank you soo much! I felt all those motion she was feeling as I wrote it. I always felt sad for Calypso and wonder if she was real and still on her Island how she would feel. I actually pictured MIZuKI singing this too! Thank you so much!
