completely uninstalling and reinstalling UTAU-SYNTH?

in order to attempt to troubleshoot an issue i've had i've tried to uninstall and reinstall utau-synth, and it seems to uninstall fine until i see how it looks reinstalled. it still has my old projects in the "recent projects" tab, and i'm wondering if there's something i can do to just completely wipe utau-synth clean and start anew without any of that coming up, because i think that and some other trace files are why i'm having my issue. anybody know what to do besides moving utau synth from my applications to the trash bin, emptying it, and downloading it again for a brand-new slate?
