difference between _CV and CV in vccv english?

hi! i'm writing multiple vccv reclists for different languages (bad idea for a single person to take on, i know) and was using cz's english vccv as a reference. while i've more or less been able to grasp the point of each of the individual reclists and the distinguishing characteristics between them, i couldn't really figure out what meaningful difference there was between the _CV and CV reclists.

just for reference, this is an example of the _CV reclist:
-kla
-kra
-kwa
-kya

and this is the CV:
-la_la
-ra_ra

assuming you would use the first sample from the _CV to make the [la] diphone, why not just take it from the CV reclist? it just seems like extra work to me.

if you can help me with understanding this, i would greatly appreciate it!

I think Cz mentioned the difference in their tutorial videos. The _CV is for making plosive combination, so when configured the aliases would be:
_la
_ra
_wa
_ya
They are used for words like play, clay ect.
