How do I add more sounds to oto.ini?

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've been looking everywhere for this and couldn't find an answer.

I already have around 100 sound files in my voice bank, but I want more. But when I add new sound files to the root folder of my voice bank, the new ones don't show up on the oto list under Voice Bank Settings/Voice Configurations. And I don't want to have to delete my oto.ini just so it can generate a new one. I tried closing UTAU, opening oto.ini with Notepad and adding the sound manually to the list, in the same format as any note. But when I re-opened UTAU and tried to play the note, it still didn't recognize the sound file.

Is there no "add sounds" button under Voice Bank Settings? Am I overlooking something or doing something wrong? I'd really appreciate some help.

(Note: I'm using the Windows version 0.2.77 of UTAU)

oh, you should open your oto.ini file and write names of your new sounds there. you should write them like "a_a_i_a_u_e_a.wav = "

There is no such thing as a dumb question! I've had the same thing happen to me before. You could try uninstalling the bank from Utau itself in Options>Bank Regist. and then reinstalling it. That should add the new sounds to your oto.ini.

Go into Voicebank settings>
Click 'File(F)' > 'Reload(R)'

Thanks for all the replies! ^_^

@amairina.chan Oh I'm a derp. Turns out the sound file I was trying to add manually was too high quality. I re-rendered it and adding it manually does work.

@Shirahime Thanks for not thinking it's dumb. :P Unfortunately the suggestion didn't work. :/ The bank is just under the voice folder, so it recognizes it automatically. I did try to move it out of the voice folder and add, remove, then re-add it to the bank register list, but the sound list didn't change.

@JeremyB796 When I hit reload, the list doesn't change. I think it just reverts to the previously saved oto.ini

I did find a way around it though. I renamed oto.ini to oto2.ini, let it generate a new one, then copy/pasted the data from oto2.ini to the new oto.ini. Kinda wish there was a more convenient way, but it works. :/ If anyone has any other suggestions, feel free to let me know.
