How do I make a vocaloid? <(°° )

Hi, I've liked vocaloid for awhile now but I've only started to get into the software/making voicebanks part relatively recently.

I've been trying to find good advice for a year or so, but even though I've been researching thoroughly it all confused me and made my brain hurt.

I'd like to know if you guys have any helpful advice for a beginner, like what are some easy to learn programs?, what are some good tutorials online, and what's a good way to get people to see my vocaloid? Any advice would be helpful.

Well for making voice banks i recommend Utau since its easy to make a voice bank in there. We also have deepvocal but its way too confusing.

and if you just wanna make covers I suggest get synthV studio basic since its free and easy to use to make covers but it has limited functions unlike the pro editor which is packed with useful tools and stuff.

To make your first utau voicebank (I recommend CV which is begginer friendly) you need to record samples from a reclist and then oto it.
To record the samples I suggest oremo and to oto it you can use setparam.
Oremo comes with a basic cv reclist so you don't have to spend time looking around the internet.

Once its oto'd the vb should work fine

I'll link some guides
She explains it well

If you need anymore help just ask :3 (you can DM me on discord if you wanna spam me with questions lol, Username: Berryweary)
(I hope this helps!)

Vocaloid is proprietary, YAMAHA owns it and it costs money (and you'll need a company) to make one. The most accessible options are either an UTAU or a Diffsinger, and all of these have slightly different methods for making them! so if you've been getting different advice on "how to make a vocaloid" that's probably why.

In terms of making an UTAU vb, you just record a "reclist" and then configure where each sound starts, ends, and overlaps etc with the oto.ini, then you can use it in UTAU or OpenUtau. It helps with popularity to be good at using them and to have an appealing character design attached, but no guarantees-- you gotta make it because you like to make it!
