How To Use "Pitch Aliases"

I don't know the official name for them, but how do I use the aliases that are pitch/note names? (Example: "A#3" or "- かA#3") Am I supposed to use them? I know how to put aliases on a note, but are there certain aliases that go in a certain pitch range?

Multipitch voicebanks come with a prefix.map file that tells UTAU how to automatically apply the pitch suffixes for certain note ranges. You can simply input the plain lyrics to use these default values, or enter a suffix if you want to use a specific pitch sample on a note it was not originally meant for.
