I got this message when trying to open UTAU, and I don't know what it is. I changed the locale to Japanese, so it should be working... Help! I miss making music!

I've googled a bit with "utau "mscomctl.ocx"" in the search bar. Some of the results mentioned that it was caused by using a 64-bit windows vista or windows 7. So if you're using one of those operating systems then downloading and installing it should be should fix it. The file seems to be a part of the Microsoft Visual Basic packs, so make you have them downloaded and installed. They can be found on the microsoft download center.
If this does not solve the issue then I have to ask:
- Was utau downloaded before the locale change?
- Is it installed outside of programfiles or have you adjusted the folder permissions for utau.
- Is the decimal setting set to a dot or a comma?
