Misakura Hayao has an excellent new VCV bank today. Great job, Halo! Every bank that comes out is much more like a real man and has better pronunciation, this one is fantastic. Yeah guys, a girl voiced him. Well, I can't remember if he's bipitch or tripitch, but definitely check him out.
I also love his redesign - I remember way back when she did a demo of his VCV 2.0 there was a silhouette, and the final design was NOTHING like I imagined. This one is much closer to that imaginary outfit I've always had Hayao wear, hah.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21882246
And just when I was about to suggest keeping his VCV 2.0 because it's softer, she also releases a "Meek" VCV for him that sounds pretty sweet. Unfortunately, the oto is not complete (I'm not sure to what extent), so just know that ahead of time.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21882396?

Pfft, wasn't expecting to see my own bank when I came in here today. Thanks for featuring him!

VCV3.0 is tripitch, and his design... It's actually not a redesign! I make fancy art for each release but it doesn't actually mean anything, I just like to change it up. Glad you like it, though!
As for Meek, it's tentatively done. Everything is aliased, only it's 50% unedited setparam oto. I've only rarely come across a major problem with it (for some reason the auto oto function... actually liked it? ok), though, so I released it as is I'm going to be going through it systematically for clean up, then release a small patch in a few weeks.

While the D3/E3 sets alone in VCV 3.0 maintain the sort of mellow sound 2.0 had, that was never my intention for what he would sound like, thus the addition of G3's stronger sound, and splitting of Meek to a separate, more truly husky bank. Sorry for the slight break in consistency! ヽ(´▽`;)/

@Cheese XD That's great!

Based on the image I'm pretty sure that's a Shamisen. Sounds pretty legit.

Ah, banks getting on here is pretty easy I think. It just needs to be of decent quality, not bland and boring, and have good pronunciation (Kotori is the only exception, but I wanted to especially feature her Nightingale bank and I love her Canary CV so I overlooked it for once). Most banks fulfill that.
Ah, but thanks for all the extra info on Hayao! And don't worry, I like how he was strengthened up - now he'd probably suit that release song for his 2.0 better. And if it's closer to your goal of his voice that's great! *still shocked you can voice him naturally*

Here Panda, this should make you happy. eue

Other than the Shamisen UTAU, Kazune Kazumi FINALLY got her VCV bank out (it's been in beta forever, but then again who am I to speak). Now I won't have to awkwardly substitute for "u ru"! XD She's a very crisp and soft VCV bank with only a very minimal accent. Might have to be careful with convel so her consonants aren't TOO short. But she's a very darling bank.

Congrats CV VC peeps, because of Ritsu it's now a thing! Two banks for it came out today. I guess I better get that CV > CV VC plugin at this rate.

Suranki, an UTAU with a wide variety of banks that get better and better with each release, has a CV VC bank called -Adam-. Very nice and natural sounding, definitely one of his best banks.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21896374

And Akane Inari, in her third feature on here (her creator is dedicated man), has a five pitch CV VC bank. Not much to say other than it's great.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21895181

That's all the CV VC for now, but I'm sure since Ritsu has done it, everyone will follow, so it's a thing now.
Other banks came out too though.

Tentoune Yoshiya has a new VCV bank, and it's a fairly powerful sounding young male/shonen vocal. My only problem is from the not amazing video/audio quality and the fact that the release song is Q (which almost always renders it impossible to judge consonants and vowels in terms of consistency, pronunciation, and everything really) I can't tell if the bank is really great or not. like i think the t's and k's are accented but i can't TELL because the song is Q and convel and stuff and why it's a good song but people please stop releasing banks with it
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21898354
(EDIT: Was just posted on YouTube, he's an Overseas UTAU by Fence. Quality there is much better and his voice seems pretty high quality. But unfortunately I'm pretty sure he has aspiration, so he might not sound as good on slower songs. And towards the end his U's sound off too, which is my biggest peeve aside from aspiration.)

and does anyone understand what's going on
what's being released
help
i'm amused but i don't know what i'm watching
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21894891
i think the one being released is the redhead and he's a whisper voice or something i don't know i'm guessing
(halo's post three down clarifies)

ahahahahah i haven't updated this in a bit there are so many good new banks out sob
now to write about them all
avoid it for a week and they build up
sigh, get ready for a long post

Konane has a new bank called CAROL that is apparently a collection of seven VCV voices. For the most part I like it, the lighter and the huskier ones juxtaposed are very dynamic, and while it's not multipitch it has promise. Slight accent though.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21905577

Kanade Ino is a tripitch male VCV, and while there's not much variation between the pitches I find the vocal quality very nice. Something about the pronunciation is very ideal for me. I certainly think he'd have his uses and I rather like him though he's perhaps a bit plain.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21903820

I think this is my favorite bank of the past few days. *u* I'm a sucker for nasal voices, like seriously. *insert advertisement for Cinnamon Ani Usa here* Niita, who I'm fairly certain is male, is intensely nasal VCV, has good pronunciation for his voice type, and pleases me immensely. Please check him out!
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21927796

TEN-PITCH BANK! Now that I have your attention, Renka Tayu is a 10-pitch CV bank. Thinking back to that 21-pitch CV bank, this one I think is superior despite less pitches - for one, the oto is actually rather good instead of garbage, and the voice is appealing.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21930228

Mofune Kota released a truckload of banks, two CV and five VCV. Pronunciation is excellent on all of them...just watch the video to hear them all. My favorites are probably his Normal, Sweet, and Dark banks (VCV of course).
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21931509

Yuutsukoe Karasu has a new 4-pitch VCV called Verge. If you know Karasu, you know he has another multipitch VCV bank called Rebellion. Both have their strengths, but I think Verge has improved pronunciation and quality, if slight. But Rebellion can get huskier and softer. Listen to both I suppose. Though I wish high convel and hyper vibrato wasn't as popular as it is, in my opinion it doesn't sound amazing and doesn't convey voicebanks too well since it masks stuff. *personal opinion ranting over*
On an amused note, in the opening part I thought he sounded like a girl for a bit. XD Just for a small bit.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21931841

Yumiko's new VISUAL bank is a cute sounding CV VC bank (and Heart Democracy is now the go-to UST for CV VC JP I've noticed, hah). Unsure if the raspy-ish sound is part of the UST since Ritsu's bank sounded like that with the UST debut, but if not it's an interesting dimension of the bank.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21941735

Aaaaand lastly, Watashine Rouya has a new VCV bank (make sure to skip to 0:49 for the new one, the first snippet is for comparison to his old bank). He slurs slightly, so maybe a convel of 120 or 130 would help, but I love his liquid tone and pronunciation. His voice has an interesting character to it in my opinion.

let's try not to go that long ever again shall we
AND COOL REALIZATION
Out of the eight banks I recommended, only two are female. Super bizarre but awesome that lots of excellent male banks came out (most of the females released this week were very bland or average).

And I'm pretty sure Renka Tayu is the correct reading, going by what was written in the video itself. Tayu doesn't have a Nico Dictionary page, which makes name-hunting a little more bothersome for me.

Ohhh so the stuff in the video WAS his name. Google Translate and the Download link were confusing me.

...And looking at Tayu's website again, I finally figured it out. The message on the home page confused me (and the fact that the home page only mentions Kimori Oota) into thinking that somehow they were the same UTAU. But I just realized that up top there are TWO download pages, one for each UTAU. I'm used to only seeing one, hah.
So nevermind that confusion. *goes to edit out note*

Thanks as always for your much more accurate names!

Konane_CAROL isn't a 7pitch bank...? It's just a bunch of appends packaged into one voicebank.

Konane

Momo's Minion
Yeah, konane_CAROL isn't a 7pitch bank. It's a collection of appends to use for realism. Also, he's just called konane now.

Oh, sorry for my misinterpretation - I never bother to translate the entire description, and I'm so used to a number and the sound kanji being paired together to mean multiple pitches that I instantly jumped to the wrong conclusion. DX

And ah, okay. I'd go through and change all the Konane_Sutikku tags or whatever to reflect that change then, I didn't know.

super sorry for all my mistakes uwah

I figured I would try posting something here. So yeah.

Ven Crone! Ven Crone is a male monopitch CV. His samples are soft and raspy, which is nice. He's 13 and 155cm tall... and yeah. That's about it.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21949621

Hino is a tripitch CV. They can be either gender! Their voice type is also kind of soft. They're definitely worth checking out! (Also, I believe they are a researcher. Which is cool.)
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/nm21951587

I saved the best for last. Kamemushi. Kamemushi is a bug UTAU! Literally. She's (?) a joke UTAU. Recorded from a bug. Please go watch it.

Finally some more interesting banks!
(Oh, and good job on posting more! I didn't link them because I personally l didn't find them interesting (and I only post usable joke banks again personally), so good that you posted some that you liked!)

First up is sisters (twins?) Mifune Rino and Yuno. Rino is more or your fluid, standard girl voice that has pleasing pronunciation, and Yuno is more nasal and high pitched, though not overly so. Both are VCV. It's hard to tell from the low quality of the video, particularly the Rino section, if the voices have good quality but I'm fairly certain they do.
(On a side note, "I want to define who I am" has a very familiar song style. Is that a Ayumi Hamasaki or Nami Tamaki song? Maybe even Maaya Sakamoto, though it's probably a lesser known artist's.)
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21961153

And going to go ahead to link to yngw's UTAU release MyList. I've never endorsed one of their banks because they really need a better mic, but some of their more recent banks have very interesting pronunciation and overall would be nice if only they had better mics. Go ahead and check some of them out!

Lots of banks out today.

First up is Yamine Rei's new multipitch VCV bank. It sounds very nice and has perfect pronunciation, I only worry about the quality (I downloaded one of her banks a long time ago and it was much more noisy than I expected). She's probably more suited for breathier songs and resamplers if you want to get the best quality out of her.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21987357

Next, Akesato has a new bipitch VCV bank. She sounds very fluid and lovely up high, but I don't know how she'd sound lower because the release song never went down. Up high she's very floaty and nice, so maybe keep her up there because I'm certain it wouldn't do as well in a lower note area.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21984437

And yaaaay more Kuon Kono banks! He has a new VCV called "Sad" that will surely go excellently with his regular and his Power banks. As always he's an excellent shonen voice and is one of the best so definitely check it out.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21986593

Finally, Koharune Ami has a new bank called "17 Color Salad" or something that's a 17 pitch VCV if I'm figuring this out right. The video also shows off her other banks and potentials (the English one pffffft). Also very nicely her website has an English option, though I think she's calling it CVC instead of VCV and VC instead of CV.
