New Nico Banks

On the Promote Unknown UTAUs thread I've pretty much lately been only posting links to UTAUs that have gained new, awesome voicebanks over on Nico Nico Douga. I feel like I'm not using the purpose of that thread correctly in doing that, so I made this thread!

Here I'll just post what I feel are the highlights of new Nico released banks so everyone can get a few more JP UTAUs in their libraries. My definition of highlights leans towards VCV and strong banks most of the time (and multipitch), and while I may get others if you want to check and follow for yourself just go to this link every day:
http://www.nicovideo.jp/tag/UTAU%E9%9F%B3%E6%BA%90%E9%85%8D%E5%B8%83%E6%89%80%E3%83%AA%E3%83%B3%E3%82%AF?sort=f
Once there make sure you're on Japanese Nico (different tag system) - you can make sure by scrolling all the way down and making sure Language is Japanese and Region is Japan - then go to the first drop-down box and hit the fourth up option. This should make videos ordered in reverse chronological, which will make the newest videos up top.
If you feel I neglected to mention a new bank go ahead and post about it.
Though remember that this is a thread only for new banks on Nico, not old ones.

So let's get started!
------------------------------------------------

Today a new VCV 5-pitch strong bank for Akane Inari came out. The mixing feels weak/odd so I can't tell if her tone is actually like that, but hey, shouting C5 pitch, I dig that and I'll download her to try her out.

(Sorry for double posting, it's a new day, and some days won't have decent banks on Nico, so I hopefully won't be constantly posting ;; )

Two pretty nice banks out today. While neither are some super impressive multipitch thing, both are very nice sounding and I love their pronunciation.

First up is Netsuteki with a new VCV bank. He's not really my type of voicebank too much, but I'm certain a lot of people would enjoy his tone (I think they're using TIPS?). Only voice I can compare it to is a Matsudappoiyo bank that's slightly more masculine (he's well known so I'm assuming that helps people understand his voice type).

Next is Rasenon (Rasenne?) Ribo, I like how lively and overexaggerated her pronunciation is, reminds me of some Korean UTAUs. Very interesting female VCV.

Two more good banks out today.

First up is a new Sasayaki VCV bank for Aoiuta (?) Nero. I like how it's mostly just soft instead of really whispery, and her tone is nice - though in this video she has g-5, so if you want the same tone you'd have to use it as well.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21584713

Next up is suprisingly a CV bank, M Arsha (odd name). She's tripitch with E3/E4/C5, and her powerful tone really impressed me. Helps that her design is gorgeous too and her creator is seriously skilled at PVs.

A lot of banks came out yesterday, but I wasn't overly impressed by any of them.

But today one really awesome release happened.

Shimoka Saku came out today with FIVE banks - all are very soft-ish VCV, but each clearly has a different tone. My favorites were probably Soft and Muddy, though Liquid was nice too (that's a four pitch bank). And his creator has some SERIOUS skills - great art, great HANASU/pitchbending on some stuff, PV skills out the wazoo...woah. I won't be suprised if this gets popular (for an UTAU vid) on Nico.

New Kire VCV bank today, sweet!

It's Akagami Hiiro's. His design is really nice and his voice has nice rock-type pronunciation. I'm very disappointed they didn't really show off his high pitch too much (that's kind of the point of Kire...) until the last demo, but his voice quality and pronunciation and awesome multipitch-ness still makes him worth downloading I think.

Been two days since any actually interesting banks.

First up is Lobelia - she's a very mature female VCV, but what really made me love her was those intense Ts and Ks. Those sound fantastic. and her voice tone kind of reminds me of halt tanner hah
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21621433

Next is Ayamari Enon, and I think this is just his regular voice since I can't find the usual kanji associated with appends. I'm not downloading him, but his type might be of interest to some. If you ever need a VCV UTAU that sounds like they're genuinely whispering, go for him. He'd probably sound great with Sekka Yufu.

Oh wow Lobelia sounds really gorgeous. Hiiro is really cool too, totally downloading him.

I like this thread. This is a good thread. uwu/ I usually don't pay much attention to the japanese side so this is nice.

Glad you're enjoying this thread! I just wanted to help people find the good stuff, I hate missing out on good banks.

Yesterday a lot of subpar CV banks came out. But today finally was an interesting bank.

Kotonone Azami is a VCV male, and while something seems a little odd about his pronunciation (or maybe the UST has random 100 modulation spots because it sounds weird every now and then), his vocal tone feels VERY versatile to me. It's one I actually don't hear often. Worth checking out I feel.

New release today that's pretty good.

Nekonome Rei has three new banks today. 艶 is soft but still kind of girly, 改 is a very stable feminine bank with a nice tone, and 蔭 is whispery and crisp. Fairly good VCV banks, I especially like her vowels for some reason.
In that order:

WOW lots of banks were released today, and some were rather good.

First up is Toku, who is made by the same person who did Kuon Kono (an awesome shonen VCV worth checking out). The song choice makes it kind of hard to judge her voice, but it sounds like a very energetic and slightly nasal girl VCV. Pretty high quality.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21669662

貍音イリ (can't get a translator to spit out the romaji for Iri's last name) is an interesting male VCV. His nasal pronunciation is a bit unique, though he may have some slight quality problems. But an interesting voice nonetheless. And towards the end it plays different manipulations of his voice, which is cool.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21667804

Next one I'm slightly uncertain of.
Ametsuki seems to be a soft 5-pitch CV voice with a sixth pitch dedicated just to HANASU. The song choice makes the pitches hard to make out so I'm unsure how different how they sound. I'm not too much of a soft or CV person, so she isn't my cup of tea, but the soft multipitch and speaking capabilities are probably of interest to some.

IT'S POSTED ON NICO SO IT COUNTS
Kazune Kazumi's PressurePoint VCVs came out - they're a strong voice that's extremely suprising when compared to her normal bank which is very crisp and soft. As a sucker for strong voices, this is a great bank.

Ah, college has left me really busy. ;; Lots of voicebanks have come out. Most were either kinda blandly average or joke banks (Lots of Homokure banks and now a knock off called "Henohenomoheji" based on the face made of hiragana).
the kire homokure from a few days ago amused me though pffft

(Masukyuu? Masuhisa? I think it's Masuhisa...) Touka has a new "Citrus" bank. It's an interestingly soft yet powerful VCV bank, the consonants can be very strong yet the tone is sweet...it's hard to describe, take a listen. I think it's great sounding, whether achieved through editing or the bank is just like that, and definetly worth a download.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21686002

And the other good bank is Kiichigo Kimine (yes, that's in Japanese name order, her name confused me for ages) and her new DELUXE bank, which is tripitch I think? A great solid female VCV bank. Like Kazumi, though she's overseas her video is on Nico so it counts.

Yay for introducing people to JP banks!

Forgot to check yesterday. WOAH. SO MANY BANKS CAME OUT. AND IF I'M READING THESE KANJI RIGHT SOME ARE GONNA BE EPIC. *begins listening*
Well. Here's the ones that ended up being interesting.

This one is just for being a CV VC bank by a Japanese person, which I'm pretty sure isn't common. Ogura Azuki is just a generic cute voice really, but I'm pretty sure CV VC JP is something in itself some people would want.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21716140

MULTIPITCH AWWWRIGHT. 遊音一莉 (no clue how her name is supposed to romanize, hopefully there's kana in her bank readme) is a 5-pitch VCV bank that's well done. And I like that she's a bubbly cute voice - the only other Kire cute voices I can think of are Nekono Ruru and Ooka Miko, multipitch Kire tends to be more feminine (which I like, but it's great to mix it up every now and then). Mixing on this isn't the best, but I think her highest and lowest pitches have great potential.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21705100

AND NOW THE DOOZY OF THE DAY
GET READY
21-PITCH BANK
now to let you down like i was when i finally watched the video, i was so excited
I guess it's not too bad in the end? Basically it's CV. And in the video there's no modulation. And that oto could really use brushing up. If you're willing to reoto as you go and make modulation 0, this bank could actually sound really nice I think.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21714503

In the end I was disappointed. The kanji was all "Multipitch! VCV!" and I'm all "Sweet! ...Wait, most of these are so average.".

Lightzaver

Teto's Territory
I really like 遊音一莉 ( I have no idea what the name is in romaji ;~; )

But the voicebank is huge ouo All of these voicebanks are so great ;o;

That's multipitch for you. Though she might have fogotten to delete all files but .wav and .frq, I once downloaded a bank where by going through all the pitches and deleting all .pmk .frc .frt .uspec and other files I reduced it by close to 100 MB.

And looking in her readme.txt and her character.txt, unfortunately they don't provide romaji, but based on the .bmp image title I'm guessing her first name is Hitori.

Only really interesting bank of the day is Puchi Tomajo (Is that Japanese for Tomato or did they just not know the english word well?). It's funny, but actually not bad for CV, the voiceacting really makes the bank unique sounding and not in a bad way.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21719833

And I'm getting sick of Homokure imitations, another one was out today. They're not funny, guys. Homokure is great and Henohenomoheji is pretty good too but it's getting old fast. *is complaining on an Overseas site about Japanese behavior uselessly*

Just follow the instructions on the first post, then you can check every day for the newest banks uploaded to Nico. owo

EDIT: Just editing since this post is still the most recent post in the Discussion board.

Two guys today! Whoo!

First up WOAH WOAH WOAH this makes me happy - Kuon Kono gets a strong type append VCV! He's a very mild and cute shonen voice, and having this strong voice to extend his range is awesome. And it genuinely sounds like a shonen too even though I'm thinking the voicer is female judging by her other UTAU, Toku.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21731068

Next is an Overseas bank posted to Nico, Asune Takara. I'll admit that his CVs were never really special to me, but this VCV bank is a massive improvement. I really like his pronunciation, the consonants aren't airy and English but have a wet strength to them (makes no sense hahah). Only concern might be some of the otos, the Bs for example sounded off time every now and then.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21731359

And as a random note, the other voicebank of the day was a Sasayaki voice for a really old UTAU, can't remember the name. It was really average so not worth watching, I just find it interesting that the voice was updated after so many years. XD

Ciel Phantomhive

oh, was the updated one mirine mon? i saw her update in the tag today too. i'm surprised to see she's gotten an update- i had assumed she was abandoned.

kuon kono is really incredible! both his normal voice and this new update.

thank you for making a thread like this! ; v ;

Haven't been awed by most of the banks to come out lately.

Cheese's new UTAU Kensone Are is a VCV male that has a nice voicing tone and good Visual Kei pronunciation. Only miff I have with the release video is that I really don't like the resampler they used him with - unless he sounds like that with all of them. But that's personal preference.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21750405

And this is interesting. A music box UTAU! It sounds fantastic too! It's called Orga Nito I guess? Odd name, but maybe it's in reference to something I don't know. Make sure to watch the video to know how to best use it.
