No sound in OpenUTAU? [SOLVED]

ok so update but when I press play in openutau to test notes, nothing happens. I make sure to check the if I used the right phonemizer for the voicebank, tested multiple different voicebanks (yes even japanese ones to see if only the english ones were the problem), deleted and reinstalled the voicebanks using openutau's built-in installer, used the proper letters/symbols for each voicebank, test different resamplers and nothing happened. ok what actually happens is the line seems to "read" (scroll across) the notes but no sound plays. sometimes the line isn't visible or doesn't move at all. what am I doing wrong?

EDIT: apparently i have been using the wrong resamplers! i got my japanese vcv to sing after applying the changes!
