ok so, when i added the character.txt and renamed the folder, it resetted the oto (currently reotoing her,,,) has this happened to anyone before? does anyone know how to prevent it?

This shouldn't be happening, but you'll frequently have file modification problems in general if UTAU and your voicebanks are stored in Program Files. Ensure that they're all located somewhere outside, such as in Documents.

This didn't happened to me before, but I think the problem was changing the folder name.
Try copy and posting the oto once you finished doing that!
