Okay, here goes.

This song is very simple. It consists of a few chords, a drum set and a vocalist. To be honest it is pretty boring and could do with a few extra instruments and arpeggios.

The tempo makes the song drag its feet and because of that it feels like the intro takes to long. Something that I've learnt in my own endeavours is utilizing a 'hook' in your into.

A hook is a phrase, passage or riff. These pull the listen in and grabs their attention. The best example I could ever give anyone is 'Gangnam Style.' That song is chock full of hook.

"Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Okay back to critiquing.

9 seconds in I thought there was going to be a lead guitar solo. That would have been cool.

I think round the 42 second part when you have bridged to another part of the song, it would be good idea to introduce some stringed instruments and flesh the song out more.

Add in more rhythm. It doesn't have to be 1234-1234-1234-1234- it could be 12-4 or 1-4

Your vocals. The start is a bit weird for me. Usually in music when you are heading for a bridge to bring you to a new part of song, the key changes from the usually, so instead of going down, it goes up.

However your do have a good grasp on the vocals in the main part but it took me a while to here the change for a chorus. At the end of the song I felt the last note could be changed to 2 notes, the last one going down. It makes it flow and seem more natural.

If you want to make your song past the 3 minute mark, I would suggest moving the chorus up a key or 2. So its starts with a C, why not move it up to a D and fade it out.

And thats all I got to give. I am, no means, a professional composer, this is just a hobby that i am learning but I am glad to help others with what I have learned so far.

I really recommend visiting: http://www.daveconservatoire.org/ for some excellent music theory lessons!

That sounds a lot better. The song is a little more exciting than before and it has more rhythm! Good improvement!
