hello!^^ i'm currently suffering problems with vcv voicebanks on regular utau that i cannot for the life of me express into words so uh just have the wav file of it happening


first off, and this is for voicebanks in general, how do i get rid of the choppiness?
second off, at 1:29 , it seems that namae shirezu is, saying nye after ni, even though i'm using vcv, and the nye sound in for cv (im having trouble putting this into words god give me strength ; :wink:

Regular UTAU lacks a lot of quality of life features, it's extremely manual for better or for worse. Presuming these are VBs you've obtained online that have demos that sound fine, make sure you've cleared the UST and reset the overlaps.

Clearing the UST (if the STP box is grey, press space in it):

Resetting the envelopes is controlled with these buttons, I'm sure there's a tutorial somewhere but you can pretty much guess from their diagrams and names. Usually you just select all and press reset, then p2p3 or p1p4 after clearing. not a hard rule. the ACPT button makes the values stick meaning you would need to clear again if you changed voicebank or the oto.ini:

After that, it's a matter of making sure you have portamento connecting all the notes:

If it's still choppy, you can try different resamplers and flags, or more intensive tuning, or... it might be the oto.ini, which means you'd need to learn configuration which is a whole new skill.
For the voicebank specific issue, a screenshot of the notes would help!
