Project Olympus - Let's ascend Utauloid to another level!

Hellow! How are ya doing my brudda/sistar!?

I would like to have more things to talk about, but unfortunately I don't have to much, so i'm going straight to the project explanation.

Basically I want people to help me to unravel the mysteries that surounds synthesizers and realistic tunning. The idea is basically a group to talk, share, search and produce content about utau and other synsthesizers tunning.

I discovered that unfortunately we don't have any information about how to tune (Specially utau) what makes me think that this is the biggest motive why people don't stay in utau community longer, it's simply can be too hard to work with the program sometimes and the lack of information, or even help, on that subject for me is one of the biggest motives behind so many people abandon the community. So, considering that Realistic tuning is really hard, I open this project so we can dissect every and each mystery behind utau tuning/realistic tuning.

>> Debunking the tunning myth!

You was waiting for it! XD So, there are a lot of people in utau community who thinks that you can't "teach" how to tune. That idea isn't wrong at all, but it is far from being the whole truth. Yes, you can "teach" how to tune because there are things universal for all the tunning proccess. Let me examplify:

For sure Arianna Grande and Taylor Swift have their own singing style, but there are similar aspects for both of them that you can find not just in their songs, but also in other singers songs. Both of them do Vocal Runs, Riffs, Belt, Growl, etc...

See? There are things similar to both of them and the same way utau tunning works! You can have your style, but if you want a vocal riff you need to do "x", if you want a vocal run you need to do "y", etc....

For sure utau tunning has a lot of things that can be teached. Obviously we can't say exactly where in the song people should use these effects, but we can pretty much share how we make them and stuff like that.

>> Don't be shy! Make your star bright by brightening someone else's star! :3

So that's it! I hope you can be with me on this adventure to make utau community better for starters and everyone! ^^ If you want to participate let me know bellow (Please, this project is serious. If you're not willing to help so stay away ;~~; in the comments, okay? Thanks for reading until here and I see ya later! I hope you have a wonderful day and...

Byenara~ :3 <3
(More informations will be given tomorrow! (Day 03/01/2022 where I live) Thanks again! <3 :3)

I do find this interesting, although I'm afraid I cannot help the project.
Don't worry, nor even I know much about tunning or exactly how we're going to do all this thing! XD Having insecurities and being affraid is part of the proccess, what is important is to try and little by little create something amazing by trial and error! ^^ Do you want to be part of the team?

Oh, yeah, LearnUTAU, while it has no articles (because nobody is writing them), absolutely could, and I believe it should, play a major part in this.
Considering how it's a """knock-off""" of LearnMMD, which also does go through some techniques as well, storing information there instead of having it be spread all around is a must to ease the learning curve.
Consider LearnUTAU in by default.
Granted, I know nothing about tuning, but being stuck in my lack of knowledge when I'm trying to host a site to hold knowledge isn't good for either you, me, or everyone else.
Any knowledge that has been shared, make sure to share it further via LearnUTAU articles! All info on contributing is on the site.

OHHH this sounds so fuunn!! I'd love to participate in the learning spot! ovo
So cool! We're doing a research right now about CV utaus and how to make a CV Creation method that is smooth, has better plosive notes and is easier to tune for beginners. Here is an example:

We need to do a lot of work with him, but his plosive sounds ("t" and "d", for examples) really good. His "r" sounds are really pronounced and I sucked at doing the recording because I had to do it really quickly to not mess with the researching, but he's finished and just need some adjustments (Specially for slower songs, ohh god, he sucks at these! XD)

In this cover there are some sounds that needs to be replaced. For example, we have a bunch of notes with "ua" and "uo"s that needs to be replaced for "wa" and "wo". I guess the program when converted the ust made a little mess on these, that's why some notes are absent and you hear a brief silence. Also these poping sounds, like if the microphone was being poped, are from the "i" sounds. Before I send you this I was editing the vowel sounds to make them overlap better and, although they overlapped better, we need to manually change the envelopes to make them not pop.

(Look at how this note starts and ends abruptly, like it's a wall: | | . That's what's creating these poping sounds, because the note is abruptly ending.)

Ps: We didn't edit the usts, we want utau to sound as natural as possible in their raw.

Ps2: Also we're going to start a research about note tuning theory, so just stay tuned that for both researchs we're going to share our results here.

While you're at it
I will once again ask you to
make an article about it
or anything else in the article requests section (I'm working on preparing for and installing UTAU)
at
learnutau.no
After I have made those two articles I will be updating the site to move articlerequests to the contribute section and whatnot
My poor site's not going to be useful if nobody is gonna contribute

I was thinking about just post here in utauforum, but it seems a good option too. Don't worry, as soon as the research is finished I'm going to post the article here and in the contribute section.

It's not exactly easy to post, as it's using a manual (and somewhat autistic) system where one writes the html file, then sending it towards me.
It shouldn't be too difficult, the contribute section has the basic recommended software and the template file has... Well, the template so it's easy to slot in, with plenty of code comments.
I gurantee however, that the learning experience can provide you some net gain. Basic HTML isn't difficult. Just a bit time consuming.
I should absolutely find a way to make it easier... But I dislike complicated plugins and javascript.

How about if you also accept docx article? Then you can translate it to html. It would be friendlier to people who doesn't know html, and you can have better control on the template or style.

In the beginning, sure, I got Libreoffice.
When I do find a capable editor however, I'll likely shove it in peoples faces.
Though I wouldn't exactly say learning HTML is the most difficult thing in the world, since I managed to get a grasp of it within the first day, and that's without the hyper-focused, stripped down tutorials and explanations I provide within the template.
It all depends on how much someone is willing to learn a potentially unrelated skill at its basic levels.
It's gonna take some research on my end I suppose.
...
After looking through it, unless propietary Office is noticeably different, making the conversion is likely to be incredibly difficult.
I'll accept docx for now I suppose, however fixing slightly dodgy HTML syntax is quite honestly easier on my part than converting it over to HTML.

This picture is the HTML after I imported the template into LibreOffice and exported it as HTML again

This is the template in Notepad++, a capable text and code editor, free and open source.

Here is the template after I removed all the code comments explaining what's going on.
Honestly, without all the code comments, I'm pretty sure one could look at this and the finished page and guess what each element does. HTML is that simple.
