By "VC" I assume you meant CV. CV isn't going to be as smooth as it doesn't account for the natural transitions between sounds and such.
VCV and CVVC sound equally as "realistic", the difference is in actual usage.
I suggest trying CVVC first if you prefer less recordings and less configuration. But if you record VCV you can actually pull CVVC from the strings and get the best of both worlds.
A good oto also helps immensely and can mean the different between a smooth voicebank and a choppy mess.

CVVC and VCV are relatively the same in terms of smoothness and realism. Even CV can be realistic to a degree (though this is a harder feat) if configured properly and recorded on equipment of decent quality.

Record VCV if:
- You want the option of full compatibility for CV, VCV, and CVVC
- Don't mind having a larger bank size
- Don't mind doing more recordings and configurations
- Only plan to use Japanese
- Have the breath support to record longer samples

Record CVVC if:
- You want the simplicity of a CV format with the option of smoother transitions through conversion plugins/presamp
- Want more hands-on control of UST editing
- Want less recordings and configurations
- Plan to ever branch off into other languages (most languages outside of Japanese have consonant endings)
- Can only do shorter sample recordings (CVVC is more flexible in terms of reclist construction, allowing for anywhere from 2 to 6 mora formatting. VCV recording is only practical when done strings of 5/6 or more samples)

I personally recommend CVVC as the next step up from CV. Either format you chose to work with, it will require skill in oto configuration.

You may want to try this reclist instead, since it's already in romaji and comes with a base OTO for the aliases.

Reclist: http://pastebin.com/1iN7EuWR
OTO: http://pastebin.com/5me3Y62Q

The reclist is fully OREMO compatible, which is what I recommend to use for recording UTAU banks in general.
I agree with this. Don't bother with the Ritsu Eve list and use this one, it looks fantastic. Ritsu lists are known for being...excessive.

Hello , you know how to use autocvvc plugin to change cv to cvvc ? I used it but it always change to vcv alias even i tick the cvvc option and some kind VC like " a k , e d , i m " will be useless . So can you guide me how to change alias to a true cvvc type

An alternative to autoCVVC that you can use is Presamp. It's available for download here.

There are two files which you need to download, "presamp 0.871" and "predit 1.600".

Before you install anything, you should prepare your UTAU settings so that it will work properly. Go to Tools, then Options, then the Cache tab. Make sure that the checkbox is ticked. Then go to the Rendering tab, and make sure that everything after the first checkbox is NOT ticked. There are pictures if you scroll down on the page I linked.

Then you should run the "presamp 0.871" installer, and when it asks you to select a folder, you should find the folder where UTAU is installed. Once it's installed, you should unzip "predit 1.600" and put it in the plugins folder.

To use it, go to the project properties and set both the resampler and wavtool to presamp.exe. Run the predit plugin to select the real resampler and wavtool. Now, if the UST is in CV hiragana, it can automatically convert to CVVC (and VCV) without needing to edit the UST itself.

Just because I'm curious; do you have an utau that has been recorded with this list? I want to see an example
