    Hi!
I've been looking at a lot of amazing UTAU covers with tuning that just blows my mind.
    (Coin Locker Baby by Akem,etc.)
And I just can't seem to find any tips for tuning that would sound good(For me at least)
Does anyone have any good tips for realistic tuning?
    I'd thank it a lot!

Go for less than more pitchbends.
Like, doN't place pitchbends on every note, but try to listen to actual singers and more or less recreate how they sing

If you're new to the community I know a great post section made that I'd recommend starting with learning the UTAU Software:

    http://utaforum.net/threads/essential-tuning-skills.15983/

You could go very basic and watch Yuunarii's tutorials on her Youtube Channel:

There are many other helpful tutorials in Utauwiki, Youtube, Blogs and sometimes in Deviantart, just Google it.

What's even better is to look at spectrograms of actual singers' voices (while also listening). A lot of things that singers do regarding pitch don't necessarily register if you're trying to do it by ear, since you're so used to those things being there that it doesn't even sound like they're there at all, but when they're missing, it sounds weird.

    There's also useful plugins like Frequency Tracer by Zteer [ http://z-server.game.coocan.jp/utau/utautop.html , , the 5th one ] !
You can just use it for looking at the F0 estimation to see how real people sing.
There's tons of other plugins/software for looking at F0 estimation (for example WaveTone).

People that have previously posted on this thread has offered very great advises! I just want to drop my own tip:

You may also want to try to use AutopitchWriter plug-in by Canon to help with tuning. I've used it multiple times and has helped me personally to tune and speed up my overall tuning progress.

The tuning that AutopitchWriter generates is natural most of the time sounding nice and the pitch bends that it creates are especially great for calm songs in my opinion.

However, even if it's most of the time nice and useful, you'll need always to adjust AutopitchWriter's tuning because that being just a program doing tuning with a specific algorithm.

I think that with a help of ear training "what sounds good and what not" and this plug-in, you can create a realistic tuning relatively fast.

    Good luck!
