unable to change UAR to ZIP

hi there, new UTAU user here!
i'm unable to change a UAR file into a ZIP file, i keep renaming it but it sees what should be the new extension as part of the name.

You should be able to double click the UAR file and it will automatically open in UTAU. There's no need to manually unzip it. If double clicking doesn't work, try dragging+dropping the UAR into an open UTAU window.

for future reference you have to turn on the setting to view file extensions in windows explorer

i use OpenUtau and i'm pretty sure it can't handle UARs. haven't checked but i'd rather stick to what works.

Under Tools > Install Singer, you're able to select UAR files. This will also allow you to select the encoding of filenames and text files, to avoid problems with non-unicode voicebanks.
