Utau gets really laggy when importing a MIDI file

Hi! So, I had this problem with a different computer, wich wasn't really powerful, now I have a more powerful, but it still happens... The thing is that I try to make a UST, and I use the miding method, and use FL studio. The first thing I notice with this is that the tempo turns HUGE, not at all like the original tempo I set, wich is also weird since I chose to save the tempo info. When I fix the tempo, it works just fine, without any lag, but then, I select the notes and activate the portamento, and that's when UTAU gets so laggy that it's almost unusable... I don't know what to do...

Export the MIDI from FL studio via the piano roll, not by converting all of your channels to MIDI Out. This allows you to preserve all of the instruments in your project file and ensure that the MIDI will display properly in UTAU.
