You'll probably want to start with a base OTO for aliases. If your particular VCV reclist came with one, use it. If not, you can generate one using OREMO/SetParam or Moresampler. Both accept hiragana, and Moresampler also accepts romaji (if written with each syllable separated by an underscore, such as "ka_ka_ki_ka_ku.wav").

    OREMO
File > Set recording folder > Choose your voicebank folder
File > Generate voice list from wav files in recording folder
Generate oto.ini > VCV > Enter your recording tempo. Initialize parameters. Take the actual time your recordings start, and subtracted the generated preutterance, then enter that in "Utterance start" (ex. Your recording starts at 1000msec, the preutterance is 300, so type in 700).
Generate Params and save the oto.ini to the voicebank folder

    Moresampler
Drag and drop your voicebank folder onto moresampler.exe
Choose 1 if hiragana and 2 if romaji
    Yes to VCV
    No to CVVC
    1 for Hiragana only
Yes to rename duplicates if you want to keep them, No if you want to delete them more easily
    (Optional) Enter a suffix

    [hr]

Once the base is generated, you will need to fine-tune it. You must fine-tune your OTO for it to be completely correct. All VCV OTO entries are edited in pretty much the same way. Here's a diagram that roughly explains it.

Seems like a lot, but these are the rough guidelines:
    - Between the first blue area and the green line, the sound should be like a rectangle
    - The red line goes at the end of the consonant
    - In the white area, the sound should be like a rectangle

There are some cases where you'll have to switch to spectrogram view, but this should carry you through most of the way.

This is "i do". The D consonant is indicated by the yellow circle here. Move the red line here.
