    Hewoo!

How are you doing? I hope well!

Okay, I will be straight to the point. Utaforum is a really cool place to find more and more people that like UTAU, but I have to admit that it's kinda dead. I think that events will not exactly help bringing people to here, but I think it can be really funny and even sometimes help to make things more alive.

So I was thinking in what could I do and then I have an idea: and if we do "The Vocal Synthesizers International Day"?

TVSID (Abreviation cuz I'm not going to write it everytime e.e) is an special event that will happen in 10/31/2020 (October, 31) that we are going to celebrate the creation of the first vocal synthesizer VODER "birthday".

So the idea is pretty simple: if you want to participate you just have to send me a cover, an original song, an art that you made, a PV, etc and then I will post it in a beautiful post telling a little more about VODER's history with every content that you send me.

So I'm curious, what do you think?

I have a little more in my mind, but for now it's just what I can say.

That's it, I hope see you around...

    See ya~ ^^

Edit: This event will count with not just utau, but with any vocal synthesizer. So DeepVocal, Cevio, Vocaloid and any other vocal synthesizer are allowed! ^^

I don't think there's a particular need to have an official, forum-affiliated project. If you're interested in running your own independent event or collaboration, you're completely free to use this forum as one of many platforms to reach out to participants, without necessarily taking the forum's name or trying to represent it as a whole.

In any case, have you heard of the plugin Chipspeech? It emulates several historical speech synthesizers and allows people to use them musically, including VODER. https://www.plogue.com/products/chipspeech.html

Ok! I don't want to represent utaforum tbh, I just want to run an utau event here. If people like it will be very cool having them participating,. As you said I was just thinking to use it as a platform to the event.

I have heard it before, but I didn't know that they emulate historical speech synthesizers! *----* It's so cool! Thanks for the information, I will see more about that later.

While I do agree that forum events sound fun and would maybe help bump activity--at least within existing users. I feel like the event should be specifically UTAU oriented... but I'm not really sure what though. Maybe someone just needs to revive some of the old forum games!!

At the same time I think this forum is sort of a place users go for help more than to hang out but honestly I'm here for both haha. You might have more luck in a place that is more active. I don't know if people check this forum daily (I only check in here every few days) but I think somewhere like a Discord server would be a good place to try. Or what Kiyoteru said and use this along with other platforms.

You have a really good point here that I didn't thought about. The thing about people coming here more to get help than to hang out what I really believe that is true.

Anyway, it's always good to see other people's opinions! Thanks for replying! :3
