How to convert a Hiragana VCV bank to Romaji?

So, I found this really nice sounding VCV VB, but it's in Hiragana and I can't write it on my PC. How do I convert it to Romaji? I did try using autoaliaser, but it broke something in the VB.

Honestly, you'll just have to go through and convert the aliases yourself. There's no shortcut for this :/

But I don't know how VCV banks work. There are like 9 samples that play a same sound. How am I supposed to know what it really plays. The filenames won't help either since they are "kakekikoku.wav" or so.

I hate to sound rude here, but if you don't know how VCV banks work, why are you attempting to use one? :/

It's really simple though, so I'll try to explain.

Basically you record a string ( let's use "_かかきかく" as an example )

So in otoing, you break it up into - か, a か, a き, i か, and a く. (that's why multiple entries in the oto editor play the same sample)

So, when you're actually using a ust, the word 心 (which would be expressed as こころ in Hiragana) becomes - こ o こ o ろ, therefore making it smoother since the vowel blends into every note.

So, to convert the _かかきかく samples to Romaji, you would make them this-

- か becomes - ka
a か becomes a ka
a き becomes a ki
i か becomes i ka
a く becomes a ku.

...does that make any sense? I'm really bad at explaining things sometimes orz

What do you mean by you can write it on your computer?
Do you mean you can't type in Hirgana? Or, you're getting weird symbols? Or, that you (or UTAU) can't read the hirgana?

I can't type hiragana that UTAU understands. The only way for me to type hiragana is using Microsoft IME, but UTAU doesn't like it.

In my experience with UTAU it's worked fine typing with IME, but I know that I can't type hiragana at all if I'm running UTAU on Mac through wine. Might that be the situation or...?

I just started aliasing the bank (aliasing over 1000 samples really isn't fun :ehhh: ) and I saw these two samples:

As far as I know, both of those are "du". Is there really a difference between the two?

Those are likely the same since, they're OTO'd the same. It looks like they've been duplicated and re-aliased to help the bank be compatible with more UST's and different spellings of those samples.
