An eager-to-please robot, originally built for mining precious stones.
It was given a voicebank by it's Master, based off of that master's younger sister's voice.
The robot managed to learn how to put a harmony together, and sang crudely drawn-out songs for it's Master, who would smile. The Master treasured the robot greatly, treating it as a replacement for the sister that was now gone. To prove this love, the master made a bright red ribbon for the robot, and attached it to it's head. This became the robot's greatest treasure.
Eventually, the robot discovered the meaning behind 'idols', and wanted to become one itself, to make it's master proud and to make many people smile. It believed that humans were happiest when listening to a sincere song from the heart.
It soon set out for the city, bidding farewell to it's master for the time being, in hopes of making it big and returning home in victory.
But it's voice wasn't up to industry standard. Many people turned the small robot away. Sometimes because of the robot's rough and unpolished voicebank. Sometimes because it was a robot and not a little girl.
The robot never grew sad -- it's failures only made it more determined to make it big. As long as it holds charge in it's body, ID 01 will dream to sing in front of the whole world.
