is openutau safe to use?

the windows defended your pc message always worries me too much to try and properly run openutau (thats why i deleted it in the first place) just making sure so that i dont get a virus by accident

Yes, it's perfectly safe, as are most programs related to UTAU. Often times AntiVirus programs don't like these sorts of programs since they're a little obscure.

Yes, it's safe, just ignore those messages and that's about it.

The warnings only appear because independent developers need to pay Microsoft to remove the warnings. If you're comfortable with programming, you can look at all the source code and build the program yourself.

Yea, same thing happened to me. It gave me a warning but it's because it's a niche software, plus my pc is old so it doesn’t know squat about anything made in 2021
Make sure you download the one that’s right for your processor and whatnot. Your pc info should tell you what processor it uses.
I've been using it for a couple of days now and so far so good.
