Recently, I've been browsing the UTAU community and I've seen an abundance of mixing tools/vsts for beginners. So, if you're using audacity or any free mixing program, these are your best friend.

Before we start...
If you don't know how to install a VST into Audacity, here's a tutorial to help you out!

This is a really good de-essing set! Spitfish is my absolute favorite because of it's amazing De-essing abilities. I REALLY RECOMMEND IT. Why? Because UTAUloids tend to have harsh s' and t's.

Equilibre: http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?id=1021

Equilibre is a pretty good equalizer that can help you visualize frequencies by just clicking the graph button. Great for people who want a free Equalizer that's basically the same as FL's. It takes a bit to get used to it's somewhat off-putting controls, but once you get the hang of it, it's nice! You may have to study a bit on how frequencies work in order to fully understand this one, but shouldn't you be studying this already if you're mixing?

ATK Limiter: http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?plugin=ATKLimiter&id=2108

It's a pretty good limiter! It helps emphasize those vocals just a bit more!

Here's a demo with all of the plug-ins used: http://orig06.deviantart.net/67e5/f/2016/159/8/b/audacity_demo_by_4_sheanna_4-da5hel2.wav

Have any questions? Good! Ask away! I'll be glad to help.

Have suggestions? Post them right on here in the replies.

This is really helpful ^ ^
(Is the equalizer realtime? Like you can apply the effects while playing the audio? cuz if not then i'll stick with eqing stuff at sony vegas but the workflow tires me a bit)
