An advanced android, Kaitei (ID MARIS-569XO2) was built for the purpose of assisting the main crew aboard the Maris Oceanic research vessel. Her model predates Keitai's by about 10 years. Despite her age, she is somewhat more advanced than Keitai in some aspects such as A.I., which greatly surpasses Keitai's. Her ability to retain and gather information is vital on research missions and makes her an essential part of the crew. Unlike Keitai, she lacks proper defenses, but when provoked she will attempt to use built in tools such as, a small saw, laser cutter, and butane torch. Along with built in tools, she possesses built in jet propulsion units in each leg and arm to allow for movement under water.
