    So it turns out this is called consonant velocity, and that you can shorten it within the note properties (the Redditor who explained this to me suggest typing in a number around 160-180).

    Not the tuning bit, but the thing that makes a word start to sing before being on the exact note you plopped it on. I would look it up myself but I have no idea what it's even called, so an explanation of that is also very much appreciated.
