my user's diennerd (ignore the connotations, i am nice i swear :bigtears: ) and my name's toby! (you may call me whichever)

i'm not very good with this site's layout so i don't know if i'll be too active, but i'm a big vocal synth fan and i make covers in my spare time. although i want to make original songs, i've been struggling to do so, thus I stick mostly to editing vsqx's or ust's. i also call myself a pro at tuning in openutau, but in truth it tends to be a 50/50 shot of whether i can make something really good... although i use yokune ruko and matsudappoiyo when working in openutau, i have a special fondness for more obscure vocal synths such as project if.., zing, xin hua, nekomura iroha, big al (beta), tonio, unity chan, anon kanon, gachapoid, aaaand the list goes on forever

i first got into vocaloid back in 2021, and i made my first utau voicebank in february 2023 (many coming along after that). i tend not to finish tests with utau voicebanks of mine due to how tedious it can be, so i often make covers with voicebanks such as vflower, xin hua, yokune ruko, and kaai yuki. from time to time though, i like to take another shot at making a voicebank - my oto'ing is usually what fails it, as i choose not to use oremo or anything. i also oftentimes lose my motivation when something goes wrong, causing me to just... give up on it for a solid 4 months. somehow, i always end up coming back to it though... i'm also a part of a special choir in my highschool, in which I am a tenor 1, so many of my voicebanks are recorded somewhere around F3.

i spend a lot of my free time writing and drawing, and some of that time goes to vocaloid headcanons. i love figuring out my own perspective on vocal synths and making them more 'human'. funnily enough, despite making a ton of story information on vocaloid characters, i can't quite ever figure out a design or information for my OWN voicebank, so maybe one day i'll reach out to here for help! i also spend my freetime learning spanish alongside japanese (albeit this one's more infrequent), and i take spanish ii at my school. i want to make an original spanish vocaloid song one day

additionally, please forgive me if my introduction is a bit scrambled. it's likely i have adhd, so i have to spend a lot of time trying to unclutter my words (always taking more time than the original writing did lol). still, it's nice to meet you all! i hope to talk again:love:
