ive looked up tutorials and everything, but no matter what i do, i can't even get oremo to work properly

i load the reclist, like the tutorials tell me to, but it always shows up as symbols like this.

ive set my locale to japanese, my keyboard to japanese, the file is set as ANSI, nothing is making this work, and im out of ideas.oremo.png

you need to copy and paste the text in the original reclist (if from Salem Wasteland) and then Save As with ANSI encoding

i just downloaded the software today, and im not anywhere close to being a tech person. :sad:
what "." should be changed?
Where is the translate option on oremo?
