Cont: If I break it, which I probably will, I'll lose all my maxed out save data on my entire game collection. Also, due to my income being basically just tips, I won't have the money to buy a new Wii after getting the supplies to fix my current one.

Cont 2: My stepdad doesn't understand my point at all, either. He says I need to learn this if I plan on going into computer science, but I'm trying to go into IT, not repair. The replacement process requires tearing stuff off of the motherboard VERY VERY PRECISELY. I doubt my mother would take my side in this too.

Also, so this doesn't sound like I'm a thirty year old lurking in my parent's basement, I'm a minor and cannot just go out and buy a new Wii without permission as my stepdad sees every charge on my credit card.
