why does popularity matter anywhere, I think is the question. people want to feel fitting and accepted--popularity typically fulfills that.. i think ppl should just do what makes them happy

maybe because they don't get any feedback with their own vb's since they're not yet known and don't get critiques on how to improve and with using a well-known utau there are higher chances of recieving feedback(?)~justanopinionthoimightbewronglel

From what it seems like, it's not a matter of not getting any critique, I've seen people just post "how do you get popular in the fandom?" And with this, it wasn't a matter of no longer using their own utau, but just no longer using utau in general.

But even then with no critiques, why do people need to be popular? Why not focus on entertainment. If you just happen to get popular, then it happens. But popularity seem like more of a motive than just having fun. But that's just my opinion
