But personally, you might need a musically trained ear to make improvs?

@Ame Well, it's not really the harmonizing/making it sound okay musically that's giving me issues... It's mostly figuring out the timing and where to put things. Timing is annoying to figure out even when it's not improv and you've got the original song for reference, but it's even trickier when you're trying to make it up as you go along...
