Hifisampler is a fantastic resampler, but it takes a while to set up and the guide is a little confusing (also only in Korean), so I wrote a little guide for my friends on Utaforum.
Warning! The installation takes up around 4-5 gigabytes- free up some space beforehand.
For those who don't know, Hifisampler is a recently-released resampler that uses locally-run AI to make your voicebank sound cleaner. The official download is here!
Before you install the .zip file containing the resampler, you want to install Python 3.10. When that's done, download the .zip from the Releases tab on the Github page.
From this link, install run.bat and install.bat.
Unzip the resampler and move it into OpenUTAU's resampler folder- make sure you're moving the whole Hifisampler folder, not just the contents.
Drop install.bat and run.bat into the folder, and run install.bat. If it pops up with 'untrusted developer' or something like that, just skip past the message. It's perfectly safe.
Now it should install all the dependancies required for it to run. This takes a while, so be patient. Go make a sandwich for yourself :3
When it's done, you can close the window- now you run the run.bat file. Every time you want to use the resampler, you'll have to run this file, or else it won't work. You'll also need the default wavtool.exe from the original UTAU in your Wavtool folder/
Load up your UST and voicebank of choice and change the resampler to hifisampler.exe and the wavtool to wavtool.exe by clicking on the gear button besides the 'Classic' track icon. If it says 'Worldline-R' instead of Classic, just click on it and change it.
Wait for the run.bat window to start outputting, and you're rendering! It might take a little while, but it's worth it.
You did it! Congratulations!
