What does any of that have to do with commercial UTAUs? That would still be entirely possible even if UTAUs weren't free. Maybe not as easy, but still possible.

I'm hoping "free version of Miku" means "I made an UTAU and tried to make it sound like Miku" because that's the only way that would be legal save for Saki Fujita making an UTAU herself but I doubt that's the case.

Uhm, the problem is that Defoko's hair often changes depending on who's drawing her. Do you have a specific picture of her in mind?

Of course. It just depends on how good a writer you are. That's really all there is to it. And it's not like anyone can legitimately complain about Vocaloids (or some UTAUs) being out of character or the writer twisting canon because there is no canon.

There are a lot of good artists in the community who will draw and even help design your UTAUs. I would suggest you do that.
