A powerful voicebank with a soft append or a powerscale bank with a falsetto?

I'm not sure which to go with. Which one would be a better option in your opinion?

I'd want the main bank to be powerful but also have capabilities to be soft for flexibility, so.

I was thinking that with the powerscale, the bank will sound more expressive more automatically and you could use the falsetto on higher notes, but if you wanted them to be louder on low notes, you couldn't do that without it sounding distorted.

But then with the two separate banks, it's a.) more work to record and oto b.) more work to pinpoint places on usts for users for things to be soft and c.) a larger file size

Yeah I'm just not sure, what do you guys think?

I have an idea... not revolutionary, but here it is-
A bank that's multipitch, but with one prefix map it's powerscale, and the other it's reverse powerscale.
So maybe the 2 lower pitches both sound neutral, but then there's 2 higher pitches that progress to power and 2 higher pitches that progress to softness. That would make 6 sets in total... still a lot.
I imagine that when you say "separate soft and power banks" you mean that they're also multipitch, because if a powerscale had 3 pitches and the falsetto was 1 pitch, that would be more sets than 1 soft and 1 power.

Something else to do is to set up the powerscale in such a way that encourages users to use one of the pitches on its own if they specifically want it to have only that tone. I've been planning to record banks where my four pitches actually correspond to Warm, Natural, Power, and Soft.

What I did recently is actually just using the Mt flag in Moresampler to make a bank sound softer and more powerful at different parts of the song... so maybe the effort from making more banks could just go into effort with tuning USTs.

Not really powerscale but going to a higher voice would be neat. Like a soft delicate voice the higher it gets. That's my opinion

Falsetto would be cute though. A soft stained voice round sounds pretty Good.

Oh, so like, if the user wanted to they could interchange to what oto they wanted to use? That's a good idea but it seems like a bit of work- though either of my options are also a bit of work, so. I'm just thinking non conventional options might not be so user friendly though.
I can't use moresampler though since, utau synth mblargh, so I wouldn't be able to try the Mt flag

Like, losing power the higher the pitch is? or reverse power scale?

More like a reverse power Scale. You just go to a higher pitch without the power.
