All-in-one appends VS. Standalone Appends

Utaforum community, what do you think is better, All-in-one appends (Like Gahata Meiji-Fantasy) or Standalone appends (Like soft append, power, dark, etc..); Which do you prefer?

It depends....

If you want a core but specific appends (and thus, not DL them all) and can't DL many thiings or too huge, it's better to get a standalone

However, the big convenience with ll-in-one is that you only DL once, without mentioning the fact you'll have directly all the versions of the same voicebank and thus, making more realistic-like originals or covers more easily

You should offer both options: all-in-one as well as standalone. Standalone is best for those with weak internet connections and only want specific voicebanks and all-in-one is good for those who want all the banks without them being separated (already suffixed, etc.)

It's probably best to offer both, I mean, aside from internet issues, some people will just like some voicebanks more than others, so they won't want to spend forever downloading, say, 6 when they only want 3  Of course, some people might just want all 6, so they can download them all at once

I agree with the idea of having separate downloads. One section is all the appends separately, and then there's another compressed file with everything together. But I like the way that Teto's voicebanks work! They're the self-installing zip/uar, and the destination folder puts all of the different voicebanks together in one Teto folder. That way, depending on whether you downloaded them separately or all-together, you get the same result.

I have to agree with what everyone else says, do both ways. One that's all of it together and the other that's just each of them separate.

For some reason, I prefer Standalone Appends. Everyone has different music taste and voice preference. Some people like soft voice while the rest choose others. Also, it should be noted that not everyone has super duper fast Internet, especially when they have a problem with downloading all-in-one appends that may be 1GB or more.

Also, I think those who create UTAU appends should try to post online the unedited sample rendered using their appends, just like KAITO V3 voicebank samples posted on Vocaloid wiki page, but it's purely optional. I only suggest this for those who want to try this method.

I generally don't use all-in-ones but I recently downloaded Uchuu VCV (which is done that way) and I actually like it! It's convenient to be able to switch appends just by tying something in the SuffixBroker.

I still like standalones too though, so when it comes time to append my UTAU, I guess I'll probably offer it both ways.

Both have their advantages; If I were to offer a multi-appended voicebank, I'd probably offer three options:
- All-in-one, to those who want to download the whole pack
- Standalone, to those who only want to download one voicebank or two
- Separate appendable modules, to those who want appendable voicebanks but don't want to download all of them at once; think Kasane Teto and her appends.

By the way, the difference between standalone and moduled appends is merely a suffix.
