Hi, so I'm a beginner vsynth producer working on an album for a class. I don't have a computer of my own so I have to use a DAW that my school will approve of. Currently it looks like I'll be using ProTools alongside OpenUtau so I was wondering if that would work? Any help is appreciated thank you!

No, you can't open .ustx files in anything other than OpenUTAU. While I know that someone is working on a VST plugin that connects a DAW to OpenUTAU, I don't know how far they've gotten or if it's usable at the moment.

If your school's computers allow you to access files, you can export a .wav from OpenUTAU. I haven't looked into ProTools, but I'd expect it to be able to open WAVs.

Hope that helped!

if you were talking about wav then yes, you just have to export the wav file to a folder once its fully rendered and put it into protools.
