There are a ton of people still using UTAU. You have to realize a few things.

UTAU isn't and can't be a 24/7 thing for us a lot of us have schoolwork to do and jobs to go to. Also UTAforum isn't the only place UTAU users hang out a lot of us are on tumblr and deviantart too. And as far as UTAforum goes this isn't a chat box you can't expect a response within a few seconds and sometimes it does take a few days. Some of us only come here, skim the forums, and then go somewhere else to talk if we don't see anything too interesting or something we can help with.

You should try visiting other sites and looking for help there too not just UTAforum. Yes this is a place where you can get help but it is far from the biggest UTAU user hang out ever.

Who are you watching on youtube?? Cause my youtube feed updates with UTAU stuff on a regular basis ;; Even I myself just posted an UTAU cover a few days ago. My friend just released a new UST and another friend of mine released a video yesterday with her UTAU. So I think maybe you should try watching more users on youtube if you want to have a busier feed or even learn about new USTs and covers quicker.

And finally I wouldn't say you "never" get a response. Looking at your threads I see people responding to you, just probably not as frequently as you would like. You need to be patient and realize we can't all just drop what we're doing all the time to help someone.

Iris's reply 100%.

Plus I think a lot of the community is getting steadily older. I feel like when UTAU started it was mostly populated with teenagers, and while there are many teenagers now getting into UTAU, a lot of users have grown up. It's only day three of college for me and I know it and my job are going to devour all my spare time (And I barely did much to begin with).

Another place to watch for UTAU stuff is SoundCloud - get one and watch a bunch of people. Those who are less active with their YouTubes may post way more on SoundCloud (myself hah but seriously loads of people do this). YouTube is more final product and SoundCloud is more WIP so people feel more comfortable posting there more frequently.

I agree with all of the other posters above me. ouo
There are still a lot of people using UTAU.
Also, not every UTAU user posts their works on Youtube or even Soundcloud.
I know I for one rarely even use Youtube. Soundcloud is much faster to upload to.

And if you really feel that you are getting no help, feel free to PM me. xD I'm definitely no expert, but I've been using UTAU for a little over a year and I've got the basics down. I can try to help! ;u;
However, I'm sure if you give your thread a little more time for people to look at, you will get some replies. Just wait overnight and you'll probably get a reply or two, depending on how busy people are.

Good look with UTAU!
And I'm pretty sure the UTAU fandom isn't dying. New, exciting original songs, covers, recording lists, voicebanks, and people pop up basically everyday.

They're all right. And as Olivia said, there's still a big activity, taking in account the originals popping up, the new reclists appearing and getting fixed, etc...

And bandwagons of covers are keep going on (there was recently a Prima Donna one, then it was a new wave of Party Junkie covers, and currently it's a bandwagon of songs such as Splash Free!! and plenty other ones)

On my side despite having had veeeeery long summer holidays, I couldn't advance yet much about UTAU (and Vocaloid too) because I was either sick, busy with IRL stuffs and such... ._."' As result, despite having more time than other people I am making stuffs way much moooooore slowly... Mostly also because I'm kinda perfectionist...

Finally I barely upload to SC and I haven't updated my YT and my NND in a while...

Let me be honest with you, and please don't get your feelings hurt.

The reason you're not getting a lot of responses on your posts is twofold: one, you don't type well. This is a forum, not a chat, and people generally type with proper grammar and capitalization (myself included; have you seen me type on tumblr or skype? hoo boy, I don't even try half the time). People may even have a hard time reading a post that isn't very well-typed.

And two, and this is a doozy, the people of the forum are here for their own reasons. They want to talk about UTAU, help people sometimes, get help sometimes, whatever. But most of us grow tired of people who want their UTAU to be reviewed, mostly because helping someone incredibly new is tiresome and a lot of people don't want to hear reasonable critique. And while we want to help people, it's hard to want to help someone who doesn't seem to want to help themselves by say, reading tutorials and going through the forum to learn things on their own. Most people don't want to just do things for you (like oto, draw), they want to trade with you or teach you to do it yourself (which isn't too hard with tutorials). We're not here to cater to your whims. We're here to help when the tutorials aren't enough (because sometimes technical issues happen that are totally mysterious), to lend a hand when you're busy (but rarely for free unless we're just feeling nice), and to provide helpful (even if not completely positive) feedback.

Your threads are all threads we've seen a million times and grown beyond tired of, because while we want to help, we also want you to try to learn on your own rather than immediately seeking our advice. The forum is full of good information and the same help threads you've posted have been posted a million times over and answered, and at this point, people are tired of answering them.

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but there's a reason everyone is posting here like "what, of course we still use UTAU" because we DO. There are many covers posted to youtube each day (and occasionally even originals!); and if all you did was look for them (ie search>sort by uploaded date), you would know that. Sure, good work happens a bit less often, but that's just because good work takes more time to produce. Try subscribing to more people who make UTAU works, and watch it explode.
