Does anyone like mono pitch banks anymore ?

Adding more pitches improves quality and can (if recorded in such a way) make more powerful notes. I wouldn't say that people dislike monopitch banks as there are a lot of good ones out there - especially the English ones (Kikyuune Aiko Rockloud, Czloid). It just depends on the sound you're going for really, and multipitch are more realistic (which is what a lot of people go for).

i dont think it really matters if you got a mono or multi. you can still get popular with either ;w;
I have a Monopitch VCV for my UTAU and its going well~

Everyone is obsessed with creating super mega multipitch banks, but the problem is that it takes up a lot of file size. A monopitch bank, while having less expression potential, is easier to download.

I love multipitch banks, but Monopitch banks have my soul :D

Honestly, msot of the banks I use are monopitch ones, and same goes for my babies

Again, I'd say multipitch is only necessary if your UTAU has REALLY a tiny range

Monopitch banks are perfectly fine if the voicer is new to recording a bank, under time constraints, and/or still learning how to oto for smooth results. Even if the voicer is none of the above, if their bank doesn't have problems with reaching a pitch far beyond its logical range (the high notes in Cantarella, Meltdown, Please World, and Adolescence for example), then multipitch isn't entirely necessary.

I record multipitch because my UTAU will sound like garbage without it. My most natural pitch is G3 so the high notes sound really ugly unless I record more pitches. Have nothing against monopitches that sound good in a large range, though

One of my utsus is monopitch and he's still pretty loved. As long as you love your babies it should be okay.

Monopitch is easier to use and create because you don't have to look over a large amount of otos. In my opinion there's only so many pitches you can do before you can't hear the difference and becomes a waste of hard drive space. That's why when I hear people do 359359.5 pitches I go, "Why?" That's why for my next voicebank I'm going to do bipitch only because I hate how my UTAU sounds when singing in the low range. Remember though, you don't have to do multipitch if you don't want to. Focus on what you can do to make yourself happy. This is a hobby after all!

Monopitch is fine for regular songs. If you want your UTAU to have a better range, then multipitch is good. Coming from a guy who absolutely LOVES multipitch banks with literally too many pitches (coughcough laru and ami coughcough) but works almost exclusively with monopitch banks (UTAU English), I say they're fine if one has a flexible timbre (Tei, Denki Sai, etc.). Regarding multipitch, I think 7 should be the maximum since it can accommodate 4 octaves without sounding unnatural (Kiaru Mizune). Imo, bipitch and tripitch are the ways to go for a regular UTAU, but monopitch is usually fine.
