GarageBand Club

GarageBand is a digital audio workstation or DAW that people can use in order to create music. It has one of the deeper built-in sound libraries of its price range ($0) and, using a MIDI keyboard, one can manipulate and sequence these sounds into a sequence that can be quantized. It also comes with Apple's large library of loops. It supports multiple tracks, Audio Unit effects and virtual instruments, and MP3; however it cannot export MIDI nor does it have a dedicated mixer window.

GarageBand is a very good point of entry to music production, especially to Mac users who can get GarageBand for free with every new Mac. GarageBand is also available in a feature-limited yet still capable version for iOS, and projects made in GarageBand for iOS can be imported to GarageBand for Mac.

This club is for UTAForum users who use GarageBand for making original music and arrangements as well as mixing.
