How do I edit my custom voicebank in OpenUtau? None of the audios are uploading to it when I add in the zip file.

Hey! So, this has less to do with voice banks made by others, but my own custom voicebank. When I try and play music, my UTAU won't play, and I recently found out it was because none of the voices uploaded into OpenUtau. They work perfectly fine on Utau-Synth.Screenshot 2025-06-14 at 10.03.47 PM.png

Is there a way to edit this? Or do I have to make/edit my txt files in order for them to appear? I've tried searching up how to do it, and I haven't gotten a direct answer to my problem yet. Maybe it's an error with my formatting or something like that.

It seems that the voicebank is missing an oto.ini file. UTAU-Synth generates a file named oto_ini.txt, which you can rename to use in OpenUtau.

Hello! I attempted to rename the oto_ini.txt file into oto.ini and reupload the UTAU, but the sounds still have not updated, and I am met with a blank screen.

I'm not sure if I'm setting up the parts correctly in the file, or if my settings are wrong.

There's no need to repeatedly zip and unzip the voicebank. To ensure that you're editing the exact version of the voicebank which is loaded into OpenUtau, click the Location button to open the voicebank folder directly.

Rename the file back to oto.ini.txt, and see if anything is in there. If not, copy all the file names, press Command + Shift + C, and then press Command + Shift + V in the text editor, before adding .wav=,,,,, to all file names. Then, rename the file back to oto.ini.

Where exactly is the text editor? Are you referring to the oto.ini file itself? Sorry, I'm a little lost.

The text editor is most likely Notepad on Windows, and Textedit on Mac. I don't know what text editors are preinstalled on Linux distros though. I am also referring to the oto.ini itself.
