I made a singing synthesizer prototype using a chips packet, a shoebox, a TP tube, drinking straws and tape. Now I need help with vocal cords and consonants.
What is the best material for making vocal cords? And how do I make consonants?
UTAU won't start up on my Linux due to an fsck and lauloid doesn't have a GUI yet.

I would use a balloon with an instrument reed for the vocal chords, and for the consonants you generally need teeth and a tongue so maybe some scrap rubber for the tongue and you could use cheap halloween vampire teeth.
